Aufgaben

Carl Zeiss Meditec AG enables medical professionals worldwide to improve the lives of their patients in ophthalmology, microsurgery and other medical growth sectors. With our proven medical technology and application expertise, we are driving standards of care. Together with our colleagues in locations around the world, we work every day to achieve this goal.

This is a fixed term position until 01.02.2025.

  • Development of new materials and manufacturing techniques for the next generation of ophthalmological implants

  • Conducting experiments in our laboratories to evaluate the efficacy of new formulations and processing techniques

  • Additionally, you will work closely with a team responsible for ensuring the biocompatibility of our products, you will be responsible for reviewing change controls and performing biological evaluations of medical devices

  • Furthermore you will provide consultation within project teams and support international registrations


Profil
  • A Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Toxicology, or a related field is required

  • Candidates should have prior experience in developing polymeric materials for medical devices

  • A strong understanding of the factors that affect biocompatibility is essential

  • The ideal candidate should have the ability to design and execute experiments, as well as analyze and interpret data

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must-have for this position

  • An interdisciplinary mindset and independent, forward-thinking approach to work are highly desirable qualities

  • The successful candidate should also possess flexibility, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work effectively as part of an international team
